Our Key Stage 2 Primary School programme for Years 3 to 6 is designed to develop confident and creative students who thrive both in and out of the classroom. We use an enriching, student-centred approach to education that values every student’s unique qualities and potential. Our curriculum focuses on foundational knowledge, critical thinking, creativity, and character development.
We emphasise strong literacy and numeracy skills as the basis of all learning. In addition to core subjects like Mathematics, English, Science, and History, students also have opportunities to engage in Art, Drama, and Physical Education.
With self-paced learning, students who need more time to understand a concept can take it without feeling pressured, while those who grasp concepts quickly can move ahead, maintaining their enthusiasm and momentum for learning. The maximum number of students in each class at Thomas Keith Independent School is 19 and most classes are much smaller than that. Every time the class number hits 20, we split the class into two.
The Key Stage 2 curriculum at Thomas Keith Independent School Primary Level includes nine subjects. Students can choose as many or as few of the subjects as they like.
